In principle we process personal data only in so far as this is necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services, or in so far as you have consented to the processing. In doing so we comply with the requirements of the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG) and, where individuals from the EU/EEA are affected, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. Purpose of the website and lead generation

The purpose of this website is to generate enquiries (leads) in the insurance sector. The details you submit through the forms are collected in order to put you in touch with suitable intermediary partners or brokers in the insurance sector. The complete lead data, including all details you have provided, is passed on to these partners for this purpose (see section 8).

We collect personal data through the following functions of this website:

Depending on the function used, this may in particular include: surname, first name, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth and further details required for the matter in question (e.g. existing insurance policies, desired cover, key financial data). In addition, technical data (server log files) is recorded automatically on every access, such as IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type and operating system.

6. Purposes and legal bases of processing

We process your data for the following purposes: handling and forwarding your enquiry, making contact, arranging appointments, sending the newsletter (where consent has been given), operating and securing the website, and fulfilling legal obligations. In so far as the GDPR applies, we base the processing on your consent, on the performance or initiation of a contract, and on our legitimate interest in a secure website that meets user needs.

7. Server log files and hosting

This website is hosted by hosttech GmbH. The server location is in Switzerland. The hosting provider processes the data arising (in particular server log files) as our processor exclusively for the provision and security of the website.

8. Disclosure to intermediary partners

The data collected through the lead and contact forms is passed on to our intermediary partners or brokers in the insurance sector for the purpose of handling your request. They process your data under their own responsibility in order to contact and advise you. We use the CRM system insuhub.ch to transmit and manage the leads; the handover to the respective intermediary’s internal solution takes place via a programming interface (API). By submitting a form you agree to this disclosure.

9. Newsletter (Mailchimp)

We use the service Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, USA) to send our newsletter. If you sign up for the newsletter, your email address and any further details are transmitted to Mailchimp and stored there. Dispatch takes place on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by emailing us. As Mailchimp also processes data in the USA, a transfer abroad may occur; we base this on appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

10. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse the use of the website. The information generated (including your truncated IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server; a transfer to the USA may occur. Google Analytics is used only with your consent, given through our cookie notice. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

11. Google Fonts

Google Fonts is used on this website for the consistent display of typefaces. When a page is called up, your browser may load the required fonts from a Google server, in which case your IP address may be transmitted to Google. Where the fonts are embedded locally, no such transfer takes place.

12. Cookies and consent

Our website uses cookies and comparable technologies. Technically necessary cookies are required for operation. Cookies that are not technically necessary (in particular for analytics) are set only with your consent. We obtain this consent through our own cookie notice (in-house solution). You may adjust or withdraw your cookie settings at any time and delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

We process and store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose of processing or as statutory retention periods require. The data is then deleted or anonymised.

We take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. However, data transmission over the internet can in principle have security gaps; complete protection is not possible.
